How can i try and manage my anxiety and stress!?

Hi im totally new to this but I'm desperate for any sort of advice. I start a new job next week and I'm absolutely terrified I have a flare up and I'm really unsure of what I particular can set my ibs off. I've had numerous tests to try and pinpoint anything but no luck, I try to eat pretty healthy and drink plenty of water etc but as you know anxiousness can set it off. Does anyone have any tips or anything that might help me to keep it at bay!? X

  1. Thanks for your question, ! Congratulations on the new job! You're definitely not alone with anxiety and stress being an IBS trigger. While we wait for some other suggestions, I thought I'd share this great article by with you on some of her tips to manage stress: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/four-pillars-health-stress-management/. I hope this helps. Keep us updated on how the first week goes! - Chris, IrritableBowelSyndrome.net Team

    1. Just checking in. I hope you've been feeling well as of late. Anxiety is my biggest trigger, and trying to balance that, with IBS symptoms at work, is truly difficult to say the least. Just wondering how you've been keeping up since this post? For me, Imodium is my best friend. Keeps me on the move with like, one big ole poo every other day! It's the dream life. ~ Sawyer (team member)

      1. I had to give up my job because of IBS. I have diarrhea so it wasn’t good because I spent too much time running to the bathroom.

        1.  I'm so sorry you had to give up your job. IBS-D is terrible for work... I also had to change careers so I could work from home, otherwise it was just too hard to handle. How are you doing now?
