I have had IBS for 13 years but at this point I am for the most homebound due to the disease. I am seeing a Gastrologist next week and not very excited due to the new meds are out of reach for me. I have two new Great Grandkids I have seen twice in 5 months due to IBS. I have written down all foods I eat and do stay away from greens corn, but it still hasn't helped and wondering if I have a Gluten problem, I am Lactose intolerant. I just throw my hands in the air, don't know what to do except not eat. Bless you all that are struggling, we have to stay strong and it is not easy!!!

A lot of us have to go through trials and errors to see what works and what doesn't work for our body. BTDT and it sucks. This may sound insane, but are you on any medications, especially things like anti-depressants? I battled a 10-month round of IBS-D. I got so tired of everyone throwing more medicines at me and finally gave up and did something every doctor will tell you not to do - dumped almost everything I was taking for multiple problems (and it was a lot) and started over again. I am NOT suggesting you do that, only that when you see your new doctor, talk to him/her about the possibility of a medication triggering it. Apparently I can no longer tolerate drugs in the SSRI/SNRI antidepressant class (Prozac, Cymbalta, etc). Seratonin is actually concentrated in the stomach. Also wondering if you have tried cutting gluten and dairy out of your diet to see if it helps a bit? I know the frustration and pain IBS brings. Just know we are rooting for you.
