"I wish this was a horrible nightmare but the reality is my husband couldn't handle my health issues anymore."

  1. That's terrible, I'm so, so sorry. Your health issues are really not your fault. 🙁 Sending big hugs, Karina (team member)

  2. When we were saying our vows, I even jokingly emphasized the "in sickness and in health" part because of my multiple diseases. I get that it's not easy but I didn't think it was going to be what ended our marriage. I'm hoping with some time apart he will realize what we had together outweighed the bad. He's also going through a major depression so it's not helping matters.

  3. Oh, I can imagine how that made everything harder. I also went through a phase like this with my partner and it felt like I was alone in our relationship and with our kids at that time. He also started so resent my health issues a lot at that point, but it got better once he got better. I really, really hope that your husband will realize what he had with you. Karina (team member)

  4. I'm so so sorry to hear. We deserve to be loved and supported no matter what. That our personalities and heart outweigh any other obstacles. I hope you find that again. Life is messy and complicated and always keeps us on our toes. When one door closes, an even better one opens. We don't need judgement when we are already our own worst critics! Know you're not alone in this and this too shall pass. We're here for you ~ Sawyer (team member)

  5. Hey , I wanted to check in to see how you've been doing. Have you been able to move yet? How have you been feeling lately? We miss hearing from you, and really hope that you're doing okay! Karina (team member)

  6. Thank you. I have hope that this will all work out in the end. The darkness comes before the light.

I'm weirdly optimistic even though I am pretty much a pessimist.

  7. Thank you for checking in. Still unable to find a home so I am staying in a shelter now. Waiting to find out if I have been approved for a subsidized housing place but even then the move in date is until Nov 1. My IBS has had some days it super rages but overall I am very happy I haven't experienced a flare up. I have had to do TONS of selfcare, pretty much almost the entire day, but it's paid off.

  8. It's great that you're able to take care of yourself and avoid flares, especially in trying times like these. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you'll get approved and will be able to move into your own home in November! How is life at the shelter for you? Karina (team member)
