Lifelong Disability

I was diagnosed at age 9. Here I am, 51 years later, still suffering. I even have an emergency kit in my bathroom, with a pillow, blanket, heat pack, wash cloth, water bottle and anti diarrheal medication. This kit is to help me be more comfortable when I have a severe flare and cannot be far away from the toilet. I have missed far too many family functions, and although they realize I'm sick, I still feel guilty.
