I read the story on the gallbladder discussion and there was some concern that maybe there was a link with IBS. I believe there is. My gallbladder was removed 1-1/2 years ago and I almost immediately started having problems. It took the doctors awhile and a lot of my money to finally diagnose me with IBS. This is a nightmare and still is.

That is quite amazing, as I still have my gall-bladder with 5 stones and 1 stone stuck in the bile duct, after very many years. I had wondered if these facts had meant I suffer badly from IBS. But now we have others who are saying they got their IBS after removal of their gall-bladders. So we all have this nightmare to endure, among other serious illnesses.

You’re certainly not alone there, @kele. There have been so many community members that have stated they’ve been impacted negatively by gallbladder removal. Have you found any ways to help manage your symptoms? – Chris, Team
