Does anyone get sick off eating standard vs. organic grass fed eggs?

I have tested this theory so many times and it seems when I eat regular eggs my IBS is horrible immediately. However when I eat grass fed organic eggs nothing happens. Does anyone have this issue or similar ?

  1. Hi ,
Eggs are ? For me. I haven't introduced them back into my diet yet. Last time i had scrambled eggs it cramped my stomach. Just weird how our body changes to something that never bothered me before. But I ??? Egg intolerance for me because after I got the flu shot last year I had diarrhea for a week... It does ask on the form they make you sign if your allergic to eggs. My answer was no because I didn't think i was, but maybe I am.

Definitely, something to think about. Hopefully, more people will chime in with their thoughts on the matter. Thank you for your question and I hope you are we well today. -Todd, IrritableBowelSyndrome.net Team

      1. Yes! Major difference between organic and conventional eggs. I have the same reaction. I would just always stick to organic as a rule of thumb.

        1. Hi ,
What an interesting question...and kudos to you for being aware of this potential catalyst! Although it can be different for everyone, I do believe the quality of egg can influence reactions for many IBS sufferers. For example, if you are someone that has difficulty with gluten or grains, and you are consuming traditional eggs...this could be a potential IBS trigger. I'm curious how you do with omega 3 eggs? In addition to the type of egg...it might be worth noting how the eggs are prepared (butter, oil, ghee, coconut butter, etc) and if any cheese or vegetables are included. ~Marci (IrritableBowelSyndrome.net team)
