Chips and Queso hell

Last night I had dinner and I got a side of chips and queso. I ate around 5 pm, which was early enough before my usual bedtime of 10. By midnight, I still felt like the food was sitting in my stomach, not digesting. I woke up this morning feeling really sick and finally gave in and took a Zofran. It’s now noon, and I haven’t eaten anything since last nights meal. I noticed that chips and queso are one of the only foods that feel like they don’t digest well (but I have a list of many foods that upset my stomach), as this isn’t the only time I’ve experienced that horrible feeling. If I eat cheese in a sandwich, I don’t have the same issue, so I’m thinking it must be the combo of the two. Any help on how to relieve this horrible feeling and an alternative to chips and queso?

  1. Fun fact; Cabot brand cheese contains 0g of lactose.. I find that lactose really tears my stomach up. Maybe try using Cabot cheese as an alternative? It's helped me just a little.

    1. Also some brands of corn chips are very oily and that can upset your stomach, maybe try hunting for a more simple or organic brand that has less oils as well as less sodium.
