Need advice with severe pain

I have IBS-D and have been having severe abdominal pain for about a month and a half, I take hyoscyamine but it's not helping, Tylenol doesn't help, I also take probiotics twice a day and imodium but my bowel movements have actually been very normal, my gastroenterologist can't get me in until March 20th and I've had to make a few trips to the ER after being curled up in a ball crying and I saw my primary care doctor today and nobody has any help to offer me, does anyone have any advice or ideas????

  1. Hi, - Hope you're doing well today! IBS pain can certainly be unbearable. I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't found the help you need to manage it. I thought I'd share this article with you that lists some ways our contributor, Glenda, manages her pain: https://irritablebowelsyndrome.net/living/my-strategies-abdominal-pain/. Additionally, a lot of folks have found some level of symptom relief by altering their diets to eliminate triggering foods. Is this something you've tried as well? Hope you're able to get some answers at your next gastro appointment! Take care. - Chris, IrritableBowelSyndrome.net Team
