IBS Community Advocate Tori Whitney

Diagnosed as a school-aged child with IBS, Tori was unaware of the great significance until becoming a nurse and being actively involved with patients and their care that suffer from this common disorder. Working in the healthcare setting, and witnessing firsthand the toll it takes mentally and physically on every person that is daily affected with IBS not only helped her get the care she needed to control her personal effects, but has influenced her aspirations of becoming a writer and patient advocate. Tori’s hope is to bring more awareness to this disorder and the many options that are available to those who are discouraged and may feel like giving up!
